Macbeth is an Inverse Function

Is this a dagger that tells us truths?
Macbeth hath murder'd sleep
Hecate applaud the deed. Tear to pieces
With thy bloody and invisible hand

The instruments of darkness will have blood
With twenty gashes on his head
On thy blade gouts of blood
Will great Neptune's ocean wash this blood
Clean from his hand?

Horrible shadows, quit my sight!
Fatal vision
Mine eyes made fool o' the other senses
I heard a voice cry, God bless us!
Murder!

A false creation of his mind
Shake off this restless sleep, and look on death itself

Seek to know no more

It's just Monologue

Why must you beat me at home when no one is there to compliment your manliness? Okonkwo, I ran away from my husband to be with you. I chose to live with you, the muscular body that was victorious over Cat attracted me to your obi. Why is the body that I yearned for now the body that I fear the most? My face has been hit since the day I ran away for you. My face is so swelled that when I look in the mirror, I do not see a village beauty, but rather I see a woman who has lived in the Evil Forest for her whole life.

Sometimes, I regret leaving my first husband. He did not beat me as much and I lived a happier life with him. He knew how to use a gun and he would not threaten to shoot me with it. His children! His children! They were not scared of him as Nwoye of you. Sometimes, I hear you wishing that Ezinma was a boy, you say she has the right attitude and Nwoye should learn from her.

When I see our daughter’s face, I realize that my beauty has been passed on to her. You and I know that Ezinma is a blessing from Chukwu. I have bore ten children and nine have died at infancy. Ezinma carries with her the affection I have for all ten children. She will follow my footsteps and find a great husband like you. I remember the first day I saw you. You did not have the money to pay my bride-price, but I saw the dedication in your eyes. Bring me back the Okonkwo I first fell in love with.

There were some actions incorporated and other words were added. However, this was the fundamental of my monologue.

How Manly of Him

The first chapter gives an impression that Okonkwo is a modern day hero. He had no inheritance and he worked hard to achieve his titles and successful life. Okonkwo brought honour to his village by winning the wrestling competition and his name was well known throughout Umoufia. However, his attitude toward less successful men displays the villainous traits of Okonkwo.

The fear of being weak like his father decided Okonkwo's actions during the whole novel. He displayed strength by insulting other people or using violence, these actions provided Okonkwo with a higher self-esteem. He would not listen to his brethren when the missionaries came to his village. He did not think rationally and he approaches the missionaries alone. He murders a missionary without thinking of the consequences and his clan is disgusted by Okonkwo's action. This loss of clan respect and change in culture drove Okonkwo to kill himself. Okonkwo had a balance of heroic and villainous characteristics; however, he became more villain-like as the novel progressed.

It isn't quiet at all...

In All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque, the protagonist is enlisted in the German army during The Great War. Paul, a young soldier, is placed in the front lines of the war and hopes to survive The Great War; however, he knows that his experience in the war has traumatized him. Paul and his friends have already witnessed one of their comrades die. They show a lack of emotion and are more worried about his comrade's boots than the death.  This novel demonstrates both man versus environment and man versus self. In the front lines of the war, Paul is constantly avoiding artillery shells and the roar from the guns create distress in Paul and his allies. Paul explains the front as the area where men become "human animals". This represents that The Great War has an enormous impact on the soldiers and forces them to lose their minds to become animals that react instinctively. Paul wants to maintain his conscience and survive the war.

The main conflict has not been resolved in my stage of the book. However, seeing that it is a war novel and written in third-person, I'm assuming the resolution will be a tragic one. Why would the end be a tragic one? First of all, the Germans lost the war and an entire generation was killed. In addition, the protagonist already realizes that his experience in the war has destroyed his mentality. The front lines were filled with the stench of corpses and the trenches were flooded with mud and diseases. This novel was written to illustrate the horror that an entire generation suffered in the beginning and end of The Great War.

Post-Colonialism?

Post-colonialism is the struggle after colonialism. The term colonialism is the idea of extending the influence of a culture to others by conquering other nations. The expansion of empires was very common within the European powers. These nations saw themselves as superior and established colonies around the world. The Europeans governed their colonies with colonists; therefore, forcing the European culture on their colonies. For example, the white people established the view that they are civilized and pure; on the other hand, Africans are seen as barbaric and dirty. This view is now frowned upon; however, there are still people that think this way. Although the European empires collapsed, the scar they left can still be found in a colonized nation.

In this commercial, the African-American man is told to do some tasks while his friend is gone. On the day his friend returns, the African-American man is seen in a messy room; thus, this man is shown as dirty . He immediately does his chores and gets them done; however, he knocks over an urn. This implies that African-Americans are used to working and they are very clumsy. This commercial was the winner of Crash The Super Bowl contest, so i was just picking out the small details and making them seem bad.

I'm going to drown you in some Pickle Juice

Many people believe that pickles are disgusting because they are immersed in vinegar and looks like a dried cucumber. I am here to convince those people that they are wrong and have no taste in food and are suffering from high sodium levels. The most unappealing characteristic about pickles is that they are drowned in vinegar; however, vinegar is used in potato chips; thus, it must not be a disgusting food. Look at how the fast food industry has expanded so quickly; it is because they are putting pickles in their sandwiches. If fast food restaurants put pickles in their burgers, everyone should put pickles in their diet. Removal of the pickle will shatter the world economy because if pickles were not placed in burgers, no one would walk into a fast food restaurant. This would lead to the collapse to the business with the highest employment rate; therefore, millions of people would lose their jobs and the world would suffer another Great Depression. Eating pickles will get the world out of a pickle!
